The “Baku process” was presented in the Ministerial Conference of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations in New-York, on November 20.
UN Secretary-General, UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations and high-level officials from member states attended the event.
Speaking in the conference, Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev touched upon the developments taking place in the modern world, as well as contributions of Azerbaijan to the dialogue of civilizations in the globe.
The Minister underlined the significance of “Baku process” (2008) and World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue (2010) initiated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
He noted that today the "Baku Process" is the only platform that has been partnered by four UN specialized international organizations. The minister added that this fact was especially underlined by the Secretary General of the United Nations in 2017, as well as it was reflected in the resolution adopted by the UN in December last year.
Then a film dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the "Baku Process" was demonstrated at the ceremony.
